If you opened a dictionary and flipped to the word "austere," you would see a picture of Coda. Stoic and aloof, he spends most of his time secluded in his house, shying away from the eyes of the public. He is infamous for his extremely formal manner of speech and writing, which he never drops, even in the most casual of settings. His appearance is equally distinctive, from the tan suit he wears to the crooked wing prosthesis in place of his severed left wing. Everything about him screams "well put-together". But Coda's appearance is deceiving, as below his near-emotionless exterior lies layers and layers of secrets and suppressed emotion.

The root of Coda's austerity is a burgeoning paranoia. When the Faceless Monarch went on his power trip, Coda suffered a large fraction of the visible damage, including losing her wing. But it runs deeper than her physical scars; its toll on her mental well-being was equally great, and understandably so. Her suspicion drives her to be isolated from everyone but her associates in the Fourth Moon Theatre Company, which is a heel-face turn from her formerly outgoing demeanour. As a result, while Coda is well-known as the face of the company, only family members and other Company members have interacted at length with her. She spends her time taking care of the clan's more technical matters.

Despite all this, Coda is far from friendless, and the friends they do have are close to their heart. Callum is their sibling, and though their relationship has been tumultuous, the two have come to enjoy each others' company. Lawrence is their significant other, and the two of them are inseparable. They also enjoy the company of their adoptive sibling Ares, and believes that they should do more for the quiet Imperial.
