This dragon has a generation number of 3.
Name: Joan o' the Wad
Kind/Intelligent/Thoughtful

Quote: Welcome, My dear to My meadow.

Position: Bandit

Personality: Kinder than most of her court, Joan is a gentle dragoness with a quick temper and a soothing touch, she is known to be protective not only of those she cares for, but for dragons who show her they are worthy. what makes them worthy is only known to her as she is as quick to offer safety as she is to lead astray, should she feel the dragon a cruel, unworthy beast they can easily find themselves in a bog. she is not cruel however, and will often entertain hatchlings with silly stories and games.

Quirks: Impulsive, Relentless

Background: She was raised to be a Lady of the courts, knowing how to play shy and bashful as well as coy and flirty, it wasn't hard for her really to use her greed for her own benefit. she became one traveling dragons called to for help when their path became unclear to them and they lost their way, she was more than willing to light the way home with her magic. she learned to hunt and fight although did not often participate in the wild hunts as she had no interest in watching their hounds rip dragons to sheds or hearing the wails of the doomed.
She had heard rumor and gossip of a court of pixies and laughed at such tales, pixies were much the same as them yet followed their own code and traditions. not many of the lesser known and wilder faeries had come to their courts even as guests as they had no interest in the workings of the courts or climbing social status as the faeries if the seasonal courts did. Joan took to walking the paths at night even as a young dragoness, enjoying the peace of the night and the stars lighting her way, she could often be found sitting on a fallen tree simply enjoying her night.

As she grew she saw suitor after suitor come and go yet felt no connection to any of them, what she desired more than anything was a connection to the male she would have for her mate. the males she met wore on her and soon she found herself avoid such meetings in favor of wandering further in the woods, once in awhile she would hear a cry or sound of distress and find herself going toward it without much thought. staying out of sight unless the one in need was a hatchling she would send small orbs or flames to light a safe path.
Soon hatchlings would run into the fields she frequented singing silly tunes, she often found a place to hide and simply watched as they raced and played. it was when she was wandering outside of the court that she seemed to come alive, her masks and walls fell leaving her free in a way few ever truly are. she loved the fields and meadows at night, when all was peaceful and quiet she would wander the fields and enjoy the night.

It was during one of her wanderings that she met Jack as he stumbled from the bushes and stuttered a greeting before introducing himself. she laughed softly at his antics and watched as he got his bearings again and sat beside her, they talked long into the night and she found herself becoming more and more fond of him. she met him daily and soon found he was king of the pixies, a group of bandits, and he was interested in finding someone to keep his company.
She found herself falling for him, he made her laugh with his pranks although she did make him promise to behave, no lethal or harmful pranks. she found the pixies charming and very welcoming, dancing and celebrating as the bandits took joy in the simplest things leaving her laughing and breathless when she would let herself rest. she accepted Jack's courting never thinking what the court would say to a match between a outlaw and a Lady of the court.

Her joy was dampened when the court reacted in a less than friendly manner, she watched as guards were called and Jack backed toward the door in hopes of making a quiet escape. Joan watched in horror and caused a ruckus allowing Jack to escape appearing mostly unscathed and leaving her to deal with the aftermath of the ordeal. Joan quickly found herself in a tight spot as the members of the court began to question her and where she disappeared to at night, thinking she would take them to Jack and his bandits.
Joan pulled on an air of outrage hoping to get an opening so she could gather her wits again and come up with an explanation that would satisfy them until she could leave again and make sure Jack was really fine. she found herself the center of attention until her snaps and yells made most of the court believe she had been as unaware as they assumed, several of the Ladies of the court made sympathetic sounds and tried to comfort her, while she appreciated their efforts she was very distracted by her worries.

Finally she was given the opportunity to go to her rooms to rest from the events of the day and she gratefully picked her skirts up and made her way away from the festivities. Joan saw several of the kobolds that were part of the bandit clan, Drets and Bubbin, she quickly made her way to the window and allowed herself to glide down and land in front of the males. they took her back to where they camped and to where Jack was, he was hurt and being force to rest by Zira and Nixie who both bustled around the den before leaving.
She agreed to stay with Jack, abandoning her place in the court in favor of being with him although she hoped the court would eventually accept them as they could make advantageous allies. she was cautious as she laid beside him, but felt safe as the wounded male wrapped her in his arms with soft promises of a home together even if it was just a bandit clan. Joan took to lighting paths again and was joined by jack once he was healed, using the blue flames natural to her she lit safe paths for both faerie and normal dragon alike.
