Techno spun through the clouds, sending wisps of water vapor trailing in his wake. Below him stretched the Sunbeam Ruins, filled with studious scholars and keen knowledge-seekers hard at their work. Techno felt no kinship with them. He preferred to live in the clouds, both figuratively and literally. Whenever his feet touched the ground, he found his thoughts wandering towards the heavens, for only there was his mind truly at rest. No matter the weather, Techno could always be found flying high in the sky, sometimes visible only as a purplish-green speck in the stratosphere.

Techno tossed his Pearl straight through a cumulus cloud, watching its path as it ripped through the immaterial barrier, leaving behind a beautiful arching trail through the sky. At the end of its trajectory, Techno caught the pearl deftly in a hind talon, then flew on his back, tossing the pearl from paw to paw in an aerial juggling act. Few could match his skill as an acrobat, and more than once, Techno had considered running off with a traveling circus. He always thought better of the idea though-- too much time spent on the ground.
