Everyone’s Favorite Uncle

Often seen strolling through the Millmeadows with none to accompany him but his little Spaniel, Brody, those who don’t know Cian might mistake him for a loner, though nothing could be further from the truth.

Cian is a deep thinker with the heart of a romantic. His solitary walks give him much needed time to be alone with his thoughts. He may philosophize on the traumas of the world and dream of ways to heal them. Or, he may write poetry about all of the wonders that he sees in the world.

Upon his return home from his constitutionals, Cian’s silent thoughtfulness is hung up with his cap. He greets all his clan and family jovially and happily spends hours entertaining everyone. The hatchlings all line up for their turn taking a piggyback ride around the nesting grounds. He sings loudly as he makes his way around the clan grounds, inviting everyone he passes to join in. “Warming up”, he calls it, for Open Mic Night at Cream N’ Sugar’s coffee house. Cian also tells jokes continuously at dinner time, starting with the prep work and going strong throughout clean up.

For the rest of the clan, the best part of his daily show comes in the evening when everyone gathers round the fire for story time with Cian. Here, he truly shines. He’s a natural storyteller, bringing each character to life with their own voices, and keeping his audience on the edge of their seats in anticipation. But, for Cian, the best story times are when the hatchlings assist him in retelling the clan’s favorite stories, dressed up in costumes or putting on a puppet show, with garb and dollies provided by Sage.
