"Yes, though they're a noisy lot." Vista gazed at the young dragons, concerned. "They're still crying even though Haze and I fed them not long before you arrived."
"It's getting close to winter. They'll be feeling the cold." Dart turned her head in Purple Haze's direction. "Feed the fire, will you?"
While this conversation was going on, Quilt tilted its head quizzically. It had not long been brought to life, so it accompanied Dart wherever she went, just to learn about clan life. When the Bogsneak had commented about the cold, Quilt started thinking..
While Vista and Dart checked the eggs which were yet to hatch, Quilt climbed carefully into the nest of hatchlings, gingerly spreading its soft, patchworked wings over them.
When the baby dragons quieted down, Dart looked over curiously. Quilt sure was living up to its name, it seemed! The baby dragons had fallen asleep under its soft, warm wings. The Nocturne shot the Bogsneak a smile and an expectant look.
"Well I'll be! Seems like Quilt has a way with the young ones," Dart said with a grin.
Any pronouns. Another Frankenstein-like experiment brought to life by Toxicity and Dart.
Completely mute, but friendly and curious, and very soft to touch. Good thing it enjoys hugs! Because of this, it helps out at the castle hatchery and keeps newborns warm until they're ready to head out into the world or stay in the village.
(Orcinus and Quilt aren't mates in my lore, they're just breeding partners!)
