My family is very precious to me. Please take good care of my kin, and if they ever need to leave your clan, please send them back to their family. If they have any children of their own, I would love to see them, and they will always be welcome in my clan.  From the moment she hatched, Sequoia stood out in a variety of ways. For one, she was easily dwarfed by her siblings, being toppled over and buried under them until one of her parents had to fish her out and away from their roughhousing. The other thing was her curious, jewel-like eyes, it didn't seem to affect her vision though, as she responded to things around her just as her siblings did. Nonetheless, her mother insisted on having her looked over, not being able to settle down until she was assured she was perfectly healthy, and was probably just a runt with slightly unusual eyes, but it became clear as she grew that there was more to it than that. As she hit adolescence, she was still significantly smaller than her siblings, and in fact looked far more like a Tundra than a Gaoler, a bit bigger than the average Tundra, but a Tundra nonetheless. Which made the delicate blooms that graced her hide just as curious, as this was not a trait that was known to appear in their smaller cousins. However, while her mother fretted over this strange occurrence, her father simply thought back to his own father, recalling how he was a Gaoler born of a Tundra couple, and concluded that perhaps such oddities simply ran in the family. In the end, all that really mattered was that she was happy and healthy.

As an adult, Sequoia was a vibrant young dragon who enjoyed all the little things in life, however she could be a bit... Odd, at times. The unusual circumstances around her birth aside, she simply said strange things sometimes. Cryptic things, and things that seemed almost as though she could see glimpses of the future. Her family and friends were use to it though, the way she would turn to them, suddenly seeming much older and wiser, and utter the strangest things before going right back to the happy-go-lucky dragon she typically is. Of course, it was these oddities that led to her meeting Zess, her dreams filled with visions that would eventually lead her to him. And now that he was here, her days felt even brighter. |
