Nihilism
One piece, of a gruesome twisted puzzle
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Aged Tome
Broken Wing Bones
Battered Book of Fables
Emperors are wretched, and tragic creatures. undone by cruelty, hubris, and sorrow. This beast even more so, it unravels all we thought we knew about emperors, their limits, and how they come to be. one must imagine it to be madness, to have twelve minds melted together, so deep and vast, not even a thoughtless creature such as this could escape it.

Nature: Immortal

Essence: Earth head of the Primal Emperor

Creator: N/A

Designation: Nihilism

Pronouns: He/it

About: The earth head of the primal emperor is observant, eerily so. Though we know it’s eyes have been blinded by the sheer elemental magic that pours out of it, it tracks the movement of any creature in its view. Those who have approached the creature have said it’s eyes are the worst; not it’s rotten teeth or jagged claws. But those eyes, those oddly aware eyes. What is it thinking?

Runestone Relic
Cracked Blackened Ribcage
Memorial Urn
The runes and stone tablets that are tied to the earth head are ancient. Long lost knowledge scattered upon his brow; beckoning those foolish enough to brave the beast for a taste. Scholars far and wide come to try and catch a glimpse of what may be written on them, and they squabble over what it may all mean. The more superstitious believe that the tablets hold the key to why this creature exists as it does. Others think it’s simply the unfinished work of some unfortunate imperial.

Familiar: Tatterwing Carcass

Name: Morded

About: An odd creature, this scavenger lurks and even seems to live exclusively on the emperor. No one can guess why, not when this creature is predicted to devour all of Sornieth. A strange oddity is the fact the emperor never seems to mind the bird, and even stranger, the bird doesn't seem to feed off it. It just tends to it, as if it were simply another of its kind needing grooming. It cares for the earth head most tenderly out of them all

He was a scholar.

He was a good scholar; he was sure of it. All of this, is the work of a good scholar. All of his work, his life’s work; that of a good scholar, nay, a great scholar. All the secrets he’s uncovered, all the lost stories that now have a home on the tongues of others. There is no pride greater, not to Nihil.

Though the light weavers rejection stings greatly to him, the newness of it leaving him open a bleeding, he does not stray. He knows his home in the ancient stone and sands. He knows no rejection will visit him here. No ink or paper could condemn him, not a single fibre.

The voice of others though? They speak of his profession as if they could ever hope to call themselves scholars. The word might even burn their tongue like a curse should they claim it! That is how unfit they are; to don that prestigious title so carelessly.

yLxdYmk.png

They condemn him, his writings, the very claws that hold the ink pen. They condem every piece of him. No piece he could pen, fact or fiction, would ever be enough. So he will not write a story, no. He will become the story. It’s not hard, in the end, to find the poorly cared for gravesite.

The smell of fresh and damp earth fills his nose as he begins his work. He has read about emperors, no imperial hasn’t. Not when the threat they pose is very real to them. The other breeds though? They laugh, like the thought is nothing more than a fairy tale. That such a thing is a story we tell, blind to the horrors the lightweaver bestowed in our blood and bone.

The poor care of this place speaks volumes to how valued their warnings are.
