Nico

Nico is one of Tike’s wards, though with her fiery colors and mischievous smile, she has at times been mistaken for one of his daughters. The Wildclaw leader has indeed raised several children before, though if pressed, he would wryly admit that Nico is probably the biggest handful he’s ever had to deal with.

Even the Wildclaw leader struggles to control this prankster. Rarely able to sit still for long, Nico is always ambling around the clan. With her unhurried pace, she seems not to have a care in the world—but her eyes remain sharp, always on the lookout for potential targets or setups.

Nico does have standards and will not tease the very young or infirm. Anyone else, however, is fair game. Clan leader on the way to a meeting? Look out for that bucket of glitter! Hatchling heading to the kitchen for a midnight glass of water? Watch out for that creepy cardboard cutout! A baker setting a pie on the windowsill? Now you see it, now you don’t...!

She’s seemingly incorrigible, and more staid clan members have despaired of her ever outgrowing her mischief-making ways. There is one dragon she’s inclined to listen to, though, and that’s Maya. Wherever Nico goes, the studious Nocturne isn’t far behind, always endeavoring to warn her chosen targets of the pranks she’s planned for them.

Despite his upending even her best-laid plans, Nico remains friendly with Maya, and in fact seems to be making efforts to win him over to her point of view. The world could always use a little more fun, Nico thinks—and it’ll be more exciting if she has a friend along for the ride. She might indeed outgrow mischief someday...but that won’t be anytime soon.
