Something shifts in the foliage. You can’t tell what, exactly, and you have certainly walked for far too long in this twisting forest. Despite this, you need to get through, finish gathering, hunting, digging, whatever it was that you entered in the first place for.

Silvery leaves crunch under your talons. Were you always the only one who went on this trip into the Strand? You’re sure it is fine. The stars fill the edges of your vision as you stare into the sky. Was that a shooting star? Kunzinite stones hang from branches here and there, and you are lost in the beauty of the forest.

Pain shoots through your tail, snapping you out of your daze. Behind you stands a Veilspun, glittering in the moonlight. They give you a questioning look, as if to ask why you would venture so far in the first place. You can’t quite get those odd whispers out of your head. A pair of eyes peer out from the brush beyond the first dragon.
i told you to hide, stranger.
you’re scaring them. c’mon.
you have our warning.

The small dragon ducks their head, and disappears into the sliver brush. You can’t tell where they came from, or where they just went.
