The Rose's Second

Rose entered the clan without fanfare, rising the ranks of Coliseum together as trusted ally & loyal companion to The Overlord. Rose guides the Unroses to action, as The Overlord feels biased against their hues.
Although not of the favored color combination, Rose & Buddy's relationship is one of absolute trust. Rose is the only dragon allowed to call The Overlord their true name.
This imposing Imperial reins in those who break the laws of utopia, the intimidator to The Overlord's welcome arms. Those who dare to challenge clan law end up walloped & sore. Every day their voice doles out limited chances & outright ostracizing those who deserve no mercy. The Overlord is no exception. As Rose pursues in flashy acrobatic dances & grappling tackles, the clan learns that even the leader is not exempt from punishment.
When The Overlord allows Rose to catch them in an unseeing space, they share many a wink, chasing & nipping each others' tails, blowing elemental breaths at the others' paws, slapping each other with their wings, & wrestling the other to the ground despite the size difference. Stamping their feet & gnashing their teeth, Rose grumbles & rolls around on the floor kicking up boulders & shrubbery with their massive girth, wondering why can't they win despite training together.
"I cheat!" Buddy replies.
"That's not faaair! That's very dishonorable! You know my tail gets sore sometimes! And it tickles when you wing my snooout!" Rose whines, swatting at the agile Aether.
Perhaps Rose will learn there are no rules in true war.
