 Ophiucus' parents were Oguin the Imperial of the Shadow flight, and Syrolin the Spiral of the Light flight. He was born in a mighty lair in the Wispwillow Grove alongside his brothers, Somnus and Roost.

Ophiucus has been fascinated by all things Arcane since he could first toddle around the lair, and was soon putting on magic shows for his siblings. (They weren't very good, but no one told him that.) His parents decided to humour him, and bought him a "magic staff" at the Trading Post.

However, what they took to be an ordinary cane had actually belonged to a magician, and had accidentally been traded in by his less-than-competent apprentice. So, imagine the surprise when Ophie started to float objects around the lair!

Of course, they figured out their error right away and took the cane away from the hatchling, promising to return it when he was older, if he still wanted it.

Sure enough, when the now adult Ophiucus demanded it, they gave in. He then moved to the Starfall Isles to study magic properly, and in the hopes of finding the original owner of the cane!

Unfortunately, Ophiucus got tangled up with another, now infamous Spiral by the name of Draco, and let himself be a little distracted from his original goals by the lure of easy treasure earned through tricks and treachery.
