a spiteful pearlcatcher who's crime is shattering other dragon's pearls. her own was lost when she was very young and got attacked, and she became jealous of what others had.

was found by joan in plague territory and imprisoned for her crimes

misc facts:

- not many know that delana's true crime is reflected by her capsule, of all things; originally born empty, it became filled as she destroyed others pearls and essentially ate them herself, messing her up in the process
- this has resulted in no clear way to tell where delana truly came from, or her lineage; her own memories are lost, and the stories she tells are only sometimes her own
- something of an almost compulsive liar due to her crimes; she can tell the truth but only as she knows it, and her memories are rather spotty besides
