When Neville found out their travel route, he scoffed good-naturedly and offered to show them a much quicker route. The dragons were skeptical at first until their Monarch confirmed Neville's claim of a portal at its root, citing her own experiences as proof. The Laospí's fisher checked if it was still there and, indeed, it was. Now Neville decided to take advantage of this group's good favor and asked if they needed any contracting done in their new location. The Plagueborn Laospí thought to question his unsolicited help, but the Herd member of their clan, [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/65596599]MiragePierce[/url], vouched for him as her distant kin and sworn ally. Armed with this vow of goodwill, the Laospí Monarch and Heir held an audience with Neville to discuss any need they had for construction work. Lucky for Neville, they had a great deal of need. They had no idea what waited for them in Lightning, but they hoped to find a place which provided safety, stability, security, and opportunity. Neville glowed with satisfaction as he assured them his burrowing could help provide most of that-- after all, if there was ground, he could dig it, and burrow systems were well known for their inconspicuousness and defensive capabilities. He found them grounded paths through the lightning storms of the [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/world-map?poi=21&view=land&viewpin=true]Charged Barrens[/url] and, at the last, worked with the budding architect Technis, the forester Omichlodis, and the strategist [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/71110783]Eridanus[/url] to choose the first entry points to what would become the clan's sprawling, spacious, and safe underground community lair. Neville quickly integrated himself into the Laospí: he had found work, an opportunity to start his legacy, and was already had a friend in MiragePierce. The final joy came when he laid eyes on Sierrie: a beautiful pearlie full of grace, and sass, and vigor. She whisked around the clan keeping morale up with delicate sweets and fluffy pastries, topped with homemade jams, frostings, and spun sugars, but she decorated [i]herself[/i] even more beautifully. Her elegance stole Neville's heart, and he soon made a bold gesture in asking her to join him in a courtship. She had made no secret she was still heart-stung over her previous betrothal, but she agreed with a giddy delight nonetheless. It seems Neville's strong, confident, easy-going nature was the polar opposite of her ex Achernar and she happily became Neville's mate. The pair's affection grew deeper, more nuanced, and mature as they spent more time together, and it was clear to all they were a well-matched pair.
