 Shinu's parents were KokichiOuma and NaotoShirogane, both of the Arcane flight, and she was born in an ancient lair on the Star Wood Strand.

With a pathological liar for a father and a detective for a mother, she had an... interesting upbringing, to say the least. Shinu is both very good at lying, and very good at knowing when someone else is. It makes her nearly impossible to deceive, and all the while, you are falling for her deceptions. However, Shinu doesn't use this ability all the time, only when she is around people that she knows she can't trust.

For her part, she joined Bloodbane's clan mostly for the security it offered. Her natural appearance could be made to be downright frightening with the right accessories, and with a name that means "to die", she would appear to be among friends.

Truth be told, she has very few friends, and even they are not privy to all of her secrets. "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer" is her motto, and she feels much safer sharing living quarters with some monsters than facing them all alone. Her closest, real friend is probably Malachi.
