Since Arlo's first appearance, he has been very interested in Palaeontology and Sornieth's ancient past. His father is very proud of him, especially because he teaches all the dragons of Ocean's lair about everything he learns from Arlo's lessons, something Fierano would never be able to do.
He teaches Ernest and Ruben everything he learns as well, just like he promised he would, even though they have their own jobs.

Wishing to learn everything he can about what he studies with Arlo, he has decided to study all the prehistoric Familiars of Ocean's lair in detail, starting with the Iguanador. It is a challenge he has set himself to prove he can be Arlo's special student. How does the Iguanodor act when its bonding level increases, for example? Why does it walk on all fours and on just its hinds? What did it use its thumb claws for? He loves discovering new things.
