the clan of obscuring willows lies near the outskirts of plague, as it used to be there. despite it saying it is near the sunportal, the clan instead transports fodder dragons to it and..... basically just leaves them there to guard it. it’s a very important job to the clan, so being exalted is... a much higher job than being a leader. if a hatchling gets transported there, the guards will take care of them and raise them to become guards themselves. basically, they treat the portal as if it were an object of importance.

speaking of plague -- some of the dragons still live there and even visit from time to time. besides trickmurk circus, the clan also celebrates riot of rot religiously, wearing skull armor, scar tattoos, and tattered clothing to celebrate the plaguebringer and her flight. despite the border being blocked off by brambles created by the shadowbinder, the clan still manages to get within the scarred wasteland, creating passages between the twisting brambles.

some of the clan members are still scarred and mutated from plague, and, despite it coming off as horrible or upsetting, it is seen as an achievement for their survival. no wonder why there's unique looking dragons scattered about the lair, who seem to still be mutating....
