"Glorious."
the war was nothing glorious.
it was bloody, and horrible, and made Tempest want to hide away in her caves, and never come out.
she would rather hide... wasn't she hiding now?
no. the war was over. they had... had they won? hadn't they?
how could they have won, when they lost so much?
Tempest sighed.
There was still no peace. Nothing had changed, even though the king said that they had won.
A wave splashed up over her talons, washing the blood off of her claws.
She wished it could wash away more than just the blood…. The scars, the pain, the horrible memories…
Tempest shuddered.
She looked down at her claws, seeing the blood in the water…. her talons curled
The dragons she had been told were monsters, evil, not worthy of the territory that was, according to the king, theirs, had always been theirs… worthy fighting a bloody, horrible, painful war…
They had hurt her. They had given her the horrible scars that would never let her forget…
But she had also hurt them. She had killed them… and she was not supposed to care. She was supposed to be strong.
