Crow

One day, after returning home, Crow found his father, Vulture dead on the floor. Very soon after that, he was arrested by Phoenix, the Great Detective, and was sentenced to death. The night before he was to be killed, he was broken out of jail by Erynde, under the orders of Null. Ever since then, he has been a loyal companion to Null, and considers him a friend, even though he doesn't want to admit it. He is Null's closest Advisor and his criminal mastermind.

Random thingy I wrote for no reason

“I don’t want to die.” It was barely a whisper. He already knew it was going to happen, and not anything could change it.

“Well, congratulations, because you’re not going to,” came a voice from the shadows.

Crow looked up in shock; he was hearing things, surely. For the last three days, he had been cramped into a tiny, isolated cell at the edge of the prison. Since then, he hadn’t seen anybody except for the occasional Guard. But, as Crow was thinking that, two glowing orbs appeared in front of him, each a miniature thunderstorm.

“Now, quit sitting around and help me get you out of there.”

There it was again. That voice. Crow studied the orbs closely, and he suddenly realized that they weren’t orbs at all- they were eyes. In an instant, he realized what he was seeing. It was a pearlcatcher, like himself, only a little smaller than him. While his eyes glowed with lightning- a very rare occurrence saved for those blessed by the Stormcatcher himself-, his body was shrouded in billowing smoke. This new dragon almost glowed slightly- just like a dying ember.

“Who- Who are you?” Exclaimed Crow.

“My name is Erynde, but this is no time for idle chatter. Now you’re going to help me break you out, or you’re going to be executed tomorrow, your choice.”

Crow was afraid. Surely this dragon wasn’t going to help him, and yet, as he was beginning to have his doubts, Erynde pulled out a device shaped like a long stick.

“You might want to stand back for a minute,” Erynde said, as the end of the stick began to glow white hot. Erynde began to cut the bars of Crow’s cell, not caring whenever molten metal dripped onto his scales. At last, Crow was free.
