The waters of the Sea that border Ruine's territory are calm and tropical. Rare seashells and fish can often be found there, and discarded items have a tendency to wash up on the beaches. The ponds and watering holes within the region are home to rare plants and animals, often poached for medicinal purposes.

But poachers and fishermen must be wary, for other creatures live in these waters. Alluring sirens roots on the coastline cliffs and mischevious naiads lie in wait in ponds. They take great offense to the violation of their homes and animal friends, becoming the cause of many a fisherman who did not return home. Poachers are dealt with with exceptional violence, and occasionally a dragon may come across one of their mangled corpses. They take from nature, so the naiads return them to it.

Alluvion is the matriarch of Ruine's naiads, having taken a vow to keep her sisters safe. Though none can remember when or to whom the vow was given, they respect and even revere her due to the power that lies in her hands. This does not mean she is not a simple naiad - she is still playful and tricky, leading those who take from their waters to their demise. But she is also proud and haughty, feeling that her victims should feel blessed that they get to die at her hands after falling for her beautiful lies. 		xxxxx
