Olfina

Give a greeting to this great gal who joined the clan on September 2nd, 2021 at 12:21 pm along with one of her brothers, who is the clan Historian & Archivist! :D

Olfina has a warm & comforting personality, and an air of wisdom around her as well, which gives others a soothing, relaxing feel being around her, as she isn't haughty with it but rather like an all-knowing grandma that loves to impart bits of knowledge to those around her. She oftentimes can be found writing things down and talking to others about their lives, and having a grand time. Since she keeps so many books around her for the notetaking she does, or the reading she partakes in, expanding her own knowledge base, she carries a wafting, lingering scent of old books wherever she goes, smelling like the pages of a beloved tome. Many find this comforting as well, however, and some will just come be near her to breathe in the scent of oft-read pages. She doesn't mind, however, and may at times strike up a conversation with them, or just be content to sit together and share a good book.
The plush she keeps around her help add to this ambiance, and she often lets others such as small hatchlings or those young-at-heart play with them and tells of tales of the time she lived under the great Emperor in the Light realm, using the stuffies to enhance her story-telling. Those who come to sit in her presence also finds she happily lets them borrow the plush as reading buddies or a soft friend to snuggle on while she reads and continues her own studies, so long as the plushies make their way back to her side.

Olfina comes from a family who made their home in the Light domain, from a family within, being the last born in her family, for the time being, when she was brought into the world along with her brothers. Her parents had already had some children before her clutch as well, and though she'd oft hear them speak of them, she never got to meet them as they'd gone on & left the clan before her & her brother's arrival. She grew up happily anyways despite this, and loved growing up with her brothers, playing and going on adventures together around the Sunbeam Ruins. They lived near the huge Emperor who roamed the land and caused havoc along its trek, and though warned to never venture too far to the behemoth, Olfina and her brothers always dared each other to see how close they could get before running away squealing, tails tucked between their legs. Despite these dares, however, Olfina was also endlessly curious of the beast, and therefore decided to devote herself to studying everything she could of the past of the creature and what brought him to being. With this in mind, she delved into the history of the realm, discovering all she could about the creature, which lead her to discovering other things about the past that she was ever-curious about. At that, she thought leaving the clan would be beneficial to search for more knowledge and as such went to leave her homeland, as her siblings had before her.
Upon the news of her departure, one of her brothers wanted to go with her as they were pretty close and grew up happily together and so packed his things and joined his sister in the search for a new home on the pursuit of her knowledge. He also had a thirst for knowledge, following in her wake when they were older and stopped the challenging each other, though he didn't have a particular focus but rather soaking in everything he could. With this, they both went to the Auction House and sat for awhile and even put notes out on other platforms, saying they were available, which was where Cascade saw them and spoke to their owner and a exchange was arranged shortly thereafter. At this, the two Light dragons joined the clan, and quickly found how welcoming it was, and that there were other dragons of Light and those on the pursuit of knowledge and thus began their journey in the clan.
As she went on her journey through the clan, she met Erigore, the clan Teacher & Light rep, Artianna, her sister and previous Teacher, Beauty, and Sekhmet, two other clan Teachers, and others who helped her on her search for knowledge, and with her questions about the past. With the interactions between Sekhmet, she learned of his own past dealing with an Emperor of his own, and trying not to hurt him about it as it was a sensitive subject, she questioned him on it & learned all she could and found comfort in the fact they had a common ground. After all she found, she realized her calling and Role in the clan as no one was a Historian and watched over the past of the clan along with the past of the realm. Moriah, the clan Appointer of Roles, figured it was a good fit and gave it to her, approving her of the position. Since then, Olfina now keeps logs of the important events in the clan, such as arrivals, weddings, hatches, Familiar pairings & findings, graduations, Exaltings, Role appointing, and other fun milestones in each dragons' life, talking to each member of the clan, recording their past.
She still kept a strong bond with her brother through all this, and at first, while they were settling into the clan, they kept together as they navigated their way through the clan. As she branched out however and found her Role, she found she didn't need to rely on him so heavily for comfort or stability. Despite this, though, she still remains close ties with him and he sticks by her side fairly often as well, and they would rejoice and celebrate each milestone in their own lives, such as finding their Roles, new friends and partners that later became their spouses, and later, the arrival of their children.

As Olfina went through the clan, she couldn't help but note how there were almost no dragons without Familiars, so she grew curious about what that was about..and if it was possible to obtain one herself. This lead her to the Skydancer DuskFall, the clan Keeper of Familiars, and went through the Bestiary under his guidance. She spotted a Marble Lightweaver and took to that, but as she left, a Citrine Cave Jewel was following close behind her. DuskFall tried to tell her about it, but she unfortunately didn't hear him as she made for the gate. Returning to her room within the clan, she ran into her brother, Raisa, and told him of her meeting with the Skydancer and her new Familiar. He noted, however, that the other creature was still lingering behind her, and as being without a Familiar himself, he decided to take in the critter. Although he had a new Role as being a Light representative, he felt that the Citrine Cave Jewel wasn't quite the right fit, and a time later, Olfina agreed, feeling as though the Marbled Lightweaver wasn't a true fit either, and could see they belonged with her brother instead. At this, the Obelisks swapped their Familiars on December 21st, 2021, nearly over a month when they'd first met them on November 7th, 2021. At this, they have gotten closer with their Familiars and now happily work on bonding & becoming as close as can be, and look forward to the day they will Awaken.
The current Familiar of this dragon, Beryl the Citrine Cave Jewel, was part of a mass clan Awakening that took place on December 31st, 2022, and Awakened to their true potential on that day! :D



As stated above, Olfina is a clan Historian, appointing herself to the Role & receiving it under Moriah's approval :) She now works to archive all the events of the clan, keeping detailed journals within the clan's library. She happily watches over the section now devoted to her works and looks to the future joyfully, trying not to get sucked into the past yet looking ahead, excited to see what other events would come that she could add to her logs.
Because of her past & fascination with the Emperor who tromped over her homeland, she has taken a few items in his likeness into her collection and under her wing, as being things that nod to her past. The Obelisk is happy to let others play with the plush as long as they return to her side, and perhaps will depart a story or two to the ones fascinated with the stuffies around her about her past living in the great Luminax's wake...
