Biography
Ohmlanii Bluecrackle of the Bluecrackle Clan is one of the two founders. Her work with her mate Elda is to watch over their clan, and to spread good books throughout the community, and as many other places as they can.
Two Skydancers stood together in an empty desert. One was perched precariously a top a small Mesa, shouting down instructions to the one below her, who struggled with a rather heavy looking sign. "A little to the left...more...more...ok stop. Stop. I said STOP." The dragon below teetered, trying to stop moving while retaining his grip on the sign. Finally, he was able to shove it into the ground. "Is that good?" he asked hopefully.
Omi cocked her head, carefully examining the sign. "Well-er-it's a little crooked. But besides that, fine. I guess." She paused, a thoughtful expression crossing her face. "Elda, do you know why I decided we should come here?"
"So you could have a valid reason to boss me around?" he muttered, ramming his shoulder against the sign.
"I thought that we'd be able to start a new and better life," she said, oblivious to her mate's grumbling. "Of course, it turned that this place is nothing but one big scorched hole in the ground with unfriendly neighbors. But we'll make do."
Omi scrambled down the side of the rock, coming to a stop beside the straightened sign. "Now all we need is a name. Hmm. The Cactus clan?" She shook her head. "No, that's not original enough. The Lightning clan? Too boring..." The Skydancer paced back and forth, quietly muttering to herself.
Elda slumped by the sign, panting. He watched his mate as she thought and paced. His eyes suddenly flashed excitedly. "I have one! How about the Bluecrackle clan?"
Omi stopped pacing. "I think I've found one that'll work," she said. "The Bluecrackle clan."
"That...sounds great," Elda agreed wearily.
