The search was all Astaroth could think about even as a hatchling. From her first breath of air she could feel something deep within her bones, as every Guardian does. She felt the pull stronger than her brother, who left to serve the Windsinger. She, too, left but to find the one she would protect for the rest of her years. Bidding her home clan farewell, Astaroth set out to find her charge among the windy plains of Windsinger.

It wasn't until she reached the edges of the Windswept Plateau that she realized her charge was in another territory. Moving through the Ashfall Waste, Astaroth stumbled upon a meekly clan of 5 dragons, most of them very young and lead by a Fae of all things. Curiosity halted her journey to better understand what she was seeing, and to find out if these mix n' match dragons all really belonged to the same clan.

A quick stop is what she meant to do, but ended up being pulled in by the enamor of the tiny Fae leader and claimed guardianship over her and her adopted kin. The blooming feeling in her heart, the same exact one she had felt from birth, made her realize that this Fae was her charge. Introducing herself as her Guardian, Astaroth pledged her life to Sprig, offering to do anything she needed to protect her.

In response, the grateful Fae responded that her life was her family. Protect her heart, which resided in her young and her friends. Dutifully, Astaroth took up her position as Protector and Caretaker of the later named Spriggan Hearth Clan. Despite her appearance, she is extremely good with young dragons and has been regularly thinking about enrolling an assistant.
