Rod is a young, cocky dragon. He likes gaudy things. He likes to be obnoxious. He is also surprisingly loyal and sweet when he stops being a complete butt (which is almost never).

He has, since the time he was a hatchling, had a huge crush on Kin, his clan's leader and Matriarch. Kin did not return any of his affections at first, thinking the young dragonling wasn't worth her time, but Rod managed to wear her down. Now they are in a tenuous kismesistude with one another, and Duke is Kin and Rod's auspistice.

Rod is also very open with his relationships. He dates around, and has had several clutches with various dragons. Though Rod is caring, he isn't ever very serious in regards to his romantic relationships. He is, however, a very dedicated father. He loves each of his offspring very much, and often goes off to visit them in their new respective clans. He is especially close to his second son Ain, and his youngest son Avery.

Rod is also best friends with Altin, Kin's mate. Sometimes Rod convinces Altin to blur the line between friendship and mates and will get Altin to be more intimate with him.

One of these days Duke's brain is going to explode from an anger aneurysm, because trying to be a good auspitice to Rod's crazy relationship situation is insanity.
