Biography

‧͙⁺˚*・༓♡ Tsunami ♡༓・*˚⁺‧͙
he/him | marine biologist | elder

Tsunami was born on the pale sand that borders the Sea of a Thousand Currents and the Sunbeam Ruins. Following his siblings, he slipped under the water, a deep, intrinsic knowledge allowing them to fold themselves along the will of the currents. That night a storm raged, but the newborn sea snake seemed to love the dark choppy waters - earning him the name Tsunami. He was a beautiful dragon, and as he grew he seemed to draw a lot of attention from fish, sharks, and other dragons around him due to his flashing eyes and boisterous personality. Within Tsunami grew a love for biology. He enjoyed studying and discovering new things about his ocean home.
Standard of the Tidelord

You'll always be with me in spirit.
Warmwater Wanderers Tsunami eventually found love in a wandering dancer, Laminaria. In his eyes, she was the loveliest dragon he'd ever seen, and it wasn't long before they became mates. Tsunami longed to show Laminaria all the beautiful things in life - from the reef fish that accompany him, to the sea flowers growing on the ocean floor. The two of them share a cave lair nestled within the coral reef, with a breathtaking view of the blue seas above and the vibrant fish that wander the area.

And I will not forget you.

When Sunbeam Grotto awakened from its hibernation, the members of the clan were overwhelmed by all the ways the world had changed in their absence - for Tsunami and many of his clanmates, the most staggering difference was the bloom of diversity below the Sea - an abundance of food to catch, animals to study, and familiars to greet. Where many of his fellows reacted to this disparity with wary uncertainty, Tsunami's passion grew exponentially along with the population of sea creatures. He considers the expanse of the Sea his home, and maintains a network of like-minded dragons who, regardless of their personal affiliations with marine science, do their best to keep record of and communicate to Tsunami the goings-on between the numerous species that make their home across the Thousand Currents.

Not once fearful of losing his place in Sunbeam Grotto - he's set up a contingency plan with Laminaria, of course, and Tsunami retains full faith that the path home will always open to him - Tsunami travels across the Sea's expanse, investigating the tiniest cracks in the walls of the Leviathan Trench to the many tidepools of the Flats to unearth and observe undiscovered species. With his trusty apprentice at his side - never mind Snailtrail's fear of deep sea, he's a fantastic note-taker - Tsunami is set to achieve a new understanding of the inhabitants of the Sea of a Thousand Currents!
