"general" employees are sorted under three main categories - engineers, scientists, and technicians.
Scientists work to expand our database of knowledge. Engineers are the guys who do the thinking and find solutions. And technicians are the guys who make those solutions work.
-maintenance/repairs personnel fall under technicians.

there are also office guys who do paperwork. miscellaneous but ever invaluable staff like your janitors and receptionists, secretaries.. etc..

an underground laboratory directly under the tempest spire - the "main" entrance and visage of the lair is a large, gray building with seemingly no windows and no personnel.
it has multiple mile-long entrances reaching all the way to the edges of the lightning farm. There is no known reason as to why the site operates in such secrecy.
has multiple sectors dedicated to expansion - operating under the Stormcatcher, they work to expand lightning's reach and improve their technology - although the site is much more concerned with its personal endeavor of obtaining knowledge of the unknown. They are much more recognized as a research site - but they keep up their quota.

The lair is a dying dream. What was once a team effort towards advancement has now become a product of greed and evil, and has caused insurmountable grief. How many more lives must we lose in the name of progress?
