Biography
╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮
OLGA ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ ╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮ = Lorekeeper = ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ |
If you need to learn more about Alysia itself, go to Olga. She made uncovering the secrets of this land her life mission, and keeps track of every little change in the lair and around it. Be it the different buildings that were here before the clan came in, the new constructions, or the natural places of the Sanctuary, she wants to know it all, and wrote down everything she could. She does update her records as often as possible, but her notes are so disorganized her best friend Garfield keeps them clean for her.
The Sanctuary
Alysia The sanctuary was founded by Alwyn and Charmer, who quickly noticed the dangerous and paranormal things that happened around the lair. Stumbling upon a ghost town isn't always a good thing, but at least it's never boring. Driven by their curiosity, they still choose to stay and build Alysia, centering the lair on welcoming everyone regardless of their past, so long as they didn't harm anyone in the clan and helped further their reaserches around the lair. |
Important places
Ambassy Here lies the Elemental Ambassy, where the clan's elemental ambassadors reside. They are in charge of ensurring alliances with clans from other regions, and are the main diplomats during periods of conflicts. They will occassionally take care of the exalted, and are tasked with the interactions between the clan members and their deities, when necessary (or possible). |
Archives This facility is where all of the clan's discoveries are stored. Most of the informations are available for everyone in the Great Library, but the Archives are where the real fun is. Alun, the head archivist, makes a point of keeping everything organized, and is the one you need to ask if you want to take documents out of the building. Of course, research are still ongoing, seeing all of the anomalies around the territories, but it's steady progress, passionate reaserchers and reliable knowledge. |
Training ground This part of the lair is dedicated to training new warriors, big and small, for them to be able to handle themselves both in combat and in the Coliseum. Beta being the main fighter of the clan, he takes great pride in teaching the young, and Shredder has a lot to add with all of the travels she did. Hatchlings will often watch the fights and cheer on whoever is sparring. |
Trading streets and shops
Mario's Marigold The flower shop is a wonder in the lair, and the first shop that was ever built, as it was a wedding gift from Alkener to his mate, Mario. She makes wonderful arangments, but doesn't cater to just ornmental flowers. If you need medicinal plants, seeds, or even edible plants, this is the place to go. She also wrote a few guides on how to identify wildflowers and what they do, so watch out for that too. |
Mistral Anvil Built and owned by Manx, a fun and charismatic Wildclaw, the Mistal Anvil is the place to go if you need new weapons, or if you want them repaired by a passionate blacksmith. Living weaponry and armors tends to fly through the room, so never let your guard down. The never ending fire of the forge is quite reassuring, despite its sharp inhabitants, and Manx's puns and jokes will distract you from the dangers he doesn't always have a hold on. |
The Bamboo's Light The Bamboo's Light is an old tavern Alkener restored when the founders of the sanctuary first came in. Don't go in the 3rd floors hallway at night. Pie will be here to welcome you and offer the best drinks on this side of the Singer's Brooke! Since Yadira took over the kitchen, the tavern is as lively as you'd expect a warm and reputable place to be! Please, stay in your room at night. |
Fondant's sweet tooth Fondant's Sweet Tooth is a bakery owned by Fondant, Alysia's best baker! This is one of the rarest buildings in town that had to be built entirely. She offers a lot of different pastries and cakes, and was soon joined by Equinox, an itinerant chocolatier who decided to stay in Alysia. They both offer different sweets every months, so feel free to stop by regularly to see what's new! The bakery is probably the only place in town that actually feels normal. |
The Loom of Life A secluded fabric shop hidden in the crevices of the lair, the Loom of Life is open only to those who seek it out. Owned by three enigmatic sisters, beware of the order you put in, and understand your life can never be the same after you buy something here. |
Time & Gems The jewelry and clockmaking shop was an old, battered structure before Valman took over the building for her clockmaking atelier. She likes to keep it small, but since Serbelis, a young but talented jeweller, joined her she had to learn to share her space. The store is cold, but lively and colorful. Don't look at the clocks for too long. |
Points of interest
Abandonned mines Soon after Alwyn and Charmer's discovery of this land, the clan's miners thought they were about to strike a mineral deposit but came across a massive network of underground caverns instead. While exploring the caverns, several miners went missing and died. Surviving miners reported hearing loud, high-pitched screeches, as though from a giant prehistoric creature somehow left over from the late Jurassic period. Lalitha, the leader of the mining team, partially blamed the canary who she believed should have dropped dead at any sign of trouble. The canary was later fired. |
Bottomless pit The anomaly was discovered by a scientist lost to time, who conducted a variety of experiments upon it in an effort to discern the pattern by which things that enter the pit return. Thanks to the journals he left behind his mysterious disappearance, Alun was able to archive his reports and share them with me. Who knows what else he had discovered! |
Liminal Spaces and other Realms
Nivrim This forest is said to be a portal that causes visitors to disappear. Those who have passed through the forest without being zapped into another realm have reported rashes, nausea, and feelings of anxiety, along with amnesia and strange dreams. The spooky curved trees that populate the forest just add to the eerie atmosphere. |
Sanzu River Before reaching the afterlife, the souls of the deceased must cross the Sanzu river, or get corrupted trying to. But who would want to face the horrors of The Fog? The only way to cross the river is via Taran's vessel. It is believed that a toll of six tokens must be paid before a soul can cross the river, or they are fated to roam Sornieth without ever reaching their departed loved ones. The only people expempt from the dowry are children. Taran doesn't charge them, and make them cross the river safely, protecting them of what lies in The Fog. |
The Fog Do not enter the Fear's domains. |
Drifting sands Liminal spaces are hard to find, especially this one. This perpetual sandstorm is constantly moving around Sornieth, along with everything inside it. Home to nomadic explorers, monster hunters, and horrors beyond this world, getting lost in the Drifting Sands is an almost guaranty, and most dragons entering it have trouble finding their way back. If you’re lucky, you may be able to meet The Guide, but not before you truly need them. |
Forgotten ruins Outside of time, deep in the Drifting Sands, you can find the Forgotten Ruins. Explore them carefully, as the Ruinkeeper will observe your every movments, making sure you don't take anything from this wretched place. It would be a shame if you released anything strong enough to get past the treshold of the Drifting Sands. |
Sabledoray Warm, but not scorching, bright, but not blinding, Sabledoray is the only place in the moving sands that is somewhat peaceful. Hidden from monsters, lost wanderers and explorers alike find their way here when they need a respite. Golye, the only permanent resident of the Oasis, is here to offer the kind of deals you just can’t refuse, be it material or not. But everything has a price, and you must be ready to pay for it if you want to get out of the Drifting Sands. Don't speak to Kavir. |
