STORY OF BEGININGS Calamitys first home was a plague clan that prided itself on expanding territory at any cost. As daughter of this clans head general, she grew up never wanting for anything. She was to take her mothers place if, and when, her mother died in a fierce battle. But Calamity never wanted that life. She was a healer, not a fighter. When she realized she was going to have no choice but to continue her clans unending war, she fled with her best friend Azalea. The two lived as wanderers for many years. Eventually, the Howitzer hoards cataloguer, Pavine, noticed that herbs from the clans hoard was going missing. Pavine stalked her garden at night and saw a large, red skydancer picking her herbs. She followed the thieves to their hideout, intent on confronting them. But rather than malicious thieves, she found Calamity and Azalea nursing a sickly Coatl dragon. Calamity and Azalea had found the sickly dragon on their wanderings, and needed the herbs for a healing potion. All of Pavines anger went away, and she quickly offered the women whatever they needed. The dragon would become their mate, Nightshade. Touched by Calamity and Azalea kindness, Pavine offered the group a place in the Howitzer Clan. HER ROLE While Azalea is the gardener and Nightshade is the mycologist, Clamity is the apothecary. Calamity is skilled in all alchemy, but medicine in her passion and, frankly, her healing skills are unmatched. |

WHO IS SHE Calamity is not a forgiving dragon. She is serious, standoffish and, blunt. Calamity hold highs standard for herself and every member of the garden. She makes healing potions, remedies, spells and, when necessary, poisons. Despite Calamities aggressive personality, Calamity spent years training to give life back to dragons who are on the brink of death. Perhaps the reason she lacks patience and understanding is because failure, for calamity, means the death of a clan member. Calamaity, Azalea, and Nightshade tend to keep to themselves as they can get overwhelmed easily and the howitzer hoard is full of many energetic characters. Azalea, Calamity, and nightshade have a unique but beautiful relationship. Azalea and Calamity are true soulmates, but as Azalea is Asexual and Calamity is Aromantic, their relationship, though indescribably deep, is platonic. Nightshade loves the two of them almost as deeply as they love each other, and enjoys having a sexual relationship with Calamity and a romantic relationship with Azalea. Their polyamorous triad, while confusing to some outsiders, fulfils each of them completely.

This family grows food for the pantry, brews ingredients and potions, makes dyes for the tavern, and grows decorations for the Agartha family. Calamity, the family head, is still fairly new and learning to trust her new clan... but the rest of her family love their new family already! Members of the Garden are mostly curious Witches, Alchemists, and Tinkerers
