B I O G R A P H Y

______ Born to the Earth Flight Ghrian always possessed a sense of adventure greater than her commonsense, or so her parents were fond of saying. She didn’t care what they said, as long as they didn’t try and stop her from seeking out her next big adventure, which they didn’t. It wasn’t long before she felt that she had seen all the crags and grottos of her homeland had to offer and she set out into the world in search of greater adventures. She knew that there had to be something somewhere out there. In her search she discovered in herself a love of all things beautiful and she made it the goal of most of her adventures to seek out what ornaments and adornments she could. She wasn’t exactly a treasure hunter, the things she found were simply keepsakes to better help her recall the fun she had getting them. If all she had cared about was treasure for its own sake she never would have traveled farther than Cairnstone Rest after all. There she could have made a profitable, if boring, living plundering ancient tombs.

Her sense of adventure lead to her joining Caitiri’s clan in the Scarred Wasteland, for Ghrian was certain that there would be exotic beauty to be found amidst the seemingly barren expanse. Her suspicions proved correct when she met Gealach and found the greatest and most beautiful treasure of all, true love. Having found a mate, Ghrian had settled down somewhat. Though she still loves to explore the savage lands of her home, she makes a point of returning to the lair, where she has started a garden of sorts. When she goes on adventures the treasures she now seeks are rare flowers which she brings back with her to plant in her garden. So far she had managed to acquire pale white orchids that live entirely underground, only sending up their pale blossoms on moonless nights, strange lilies with fleshy petals that sweat red nectar, wild brambles that grow horned fruit and countless other plants that can only be found in her new home. She delights in watching the insects that come to the flowers of her garden and has recently discovered that some of her plants eat meat. The fact that there exists such an inversion of the natural order, plants that prey upon insects instead of the other way around, fascinated her and she seeks to expand her collection of such plants.
