Aerona

Aerona was found as an egg in an abandoned nest hidden within the Flintlock Fumaroles when a patrol from the Clan of the Black Sun decided to scavenge the Ashfall Waste during the time of the Flameforger's Festival to visit Clans outside of the Scarred Wasteland and collect items and delicacies for the Fire dragons that remained in the Clan back home. The patrol noticed a nearly destroyed nest, possibly as a result of the blacksmith rebellion and riots within the Fire Flight. No other egg laid there in the cinders except one, which the patrol gladly took home with them when they realized its parents were not going to return.

Upon returning to the Seedscar where the Clan of the Black Sun lived, the rescued egg was placed in the hatchery with all the other eggs from the Clan, and eventually, it hatched into a baby Mirror dragon with the familiar fiery spirit within her like most Fire dragons. Demi, the Fire Flight Representative of the Clan, was the one that suggested to name the hatchling Aerona, an ancient name originating from the Fire Flight's earliest days, meaning "battle ending."

Growing up, Aerona became close to her mentor, Demi, who guided her pawsteps to control her element and tame its raw power to protect the innocent and the Clan from the horrors of war. Aerona was a warrior at heart, but she was also inventive and honored the ancestry of the Flamecaller's children. Because of this, she had been inspired by the cave paintings and tales her Flight and Sornieth to bring their traditions back to life. It was a tedious process. Through many hours, days, weeks, the young Mirror read time and time again the scrolls and ancient writings that spoke of ancient battle and hunting techniques the Fire Flight used before the Banescales were frozen away. Her claws also itched to create something from the flames she conjured. As a result of this yearning, she had forged a Fossil Facsimile with her own claws and fire, making it not only fireproof, but a mechanical creation that formed a special connection to her element. Her claw gauntlets would paint streaks of fire in the face of any foe. The fiercest Chimera would be unable to touch the Mirror without leaving with a serious limp and a scar to remember her by.

Once Aerona was old enough, she was promoted to a high guard of the Clan with the responsibility of also teaching young dragonets how to fight and defend, as teach those of Fire the traditions she learned from her burning passion of understanding her ancestry.
