Platominus

Platominus originated from the Earth Flight and became a lone traveler once he learned to fly. Growing up, he assisted in building monuments, statues, parks, and homes for many dragons in Dragonhome. He was a natural sculptor and often created small clay or wooden figures and carvings during his spare time. Once he left Dragonhome, he went south, first to the Sea of a Thousand Currents, learning about the traditions and the culture that centered around the Water Flight. He made several friends and visited relatives that lived near the shorelines. He even stayed around to celebrate that year’s Wavecrest Saturnalia. That day, he collected many seashells and made them into accessories and decorations to sell during the elemental festival. He also learned many recipes and entered the seafood cooking contest every year whenever the holiday came around and later became a judge, then just as a volunteer to make the Wavecrest Feast.

That's how he met Leopold, his Leopard Coralclimber. The little aquatic gecko was attracted to Platominus' hut after catching scent of food. The snapper was oblivious to the familiar crawling around his kitchen until he caught the critter eating some of the fish. As the generous dragon he was, Platominus gave him a treat and sent him off on his way. The coralclimber kept coming back every afternoon for a snack and if it didn't get its treat, it would chirp until it did. Platominus decided to take in the little troublemaker and named it Leopold, who would stay by his side since then.

He stayed in the Water Flight for many years, but soon, he was off yet again, this time, to the Shifting Expanse, settling near an oasis in the Highland shrub. It was hot, yes, but it was a nice place to set up shop for travelers and Clans nearby. For any that came near his oasis, he welcomed them, and if they wanted, he taught them how to sculpt and make pottery, make recipes that he was taught at the Sea of a Thousand Currents. At times, he would also hunt for them. Every now and then, he would think on considering living at the Lightning Farms, but turned down the idea, since it was a very busy place. He's only seen the Stormcatcher once, when the god of lightning circled over and landed on the Tempest Spire to give out orders.

He had only stayed in the Shifting Expanse for about a year before leaving once more, but he still enjoyed learning so much about the Flights he had become a part of. During his travels, he once stayed for the night at the Ashfall Waste for some rest. He didn't intend to stay though, since life wouldn't really suite him nor Leopold. Once morning came, he set off to the Windswept Plateau. There, he spent several years in. He wasn't entirely a fan of the heavy wind, but he adored the gentle breeze. His neighbors were very generous families and helped him settle down into the Wind Flight near the Twisted Crescendo. Here, he learned how to make more new things. How to make necklaces and Wind-traditional decorations. Of course, the one thing he enjoyed learning the most there was how to make kites and balloons. He would not only make these for festivals and parties, but for young kits as well. He was always happy to help his neighbors watch the kits for their parents when they were working. Platominus was very patient with children and often found things to help keep them busy. They almost never got bored. He would cook with them, do arts and crafts with them, played games, and would let them play with Leopold. When they were old enough to go through the test of their lifetime in the swirling vortex that would test the skills of any Wind dragon, he watched and supported them beside their parents. He would also invite his neighbors over for tea and if they were just too tired to cook or hunt, he was more than happy to make something for them.

He stayed in the Wind Flight for most of his golden years, then left once again with his friends baring him farewell, heading north to the Starfall Isles, where he found the Clan of the Black Sun and their leader, Lugia, let him stay. Now, Platominus creates many things to sell in the trading posts and marketplace to help support his new Clan. He will often visit Galore and Pinkerton to find useless items he could use for projects. He will also visit Tomo, who is an old friend and will usually have tea with her and test each other's knowledge. He also sells and trades some items to Crim and Swipp's group and helps Fiona with caring for familiars. Platominus will also take care of hatchlings when the parents or other nest guards are out on patrol and need someone to watch out for the kits. Like he did for his neighbors in the Windswept Plateau, he kept them busy and taught them how to make several things, mainly in pottery or kite-making. He loves his Clan and those he was with in the past and he will never forget any of them or the good memories he's shared with them. But one day, he will return to Dragonhome to live out his final days. For his long-life wish, is to look upon the World Pillar once more before he moved on into the Afterlife.

He is now, (lorewise) 150 years old.
