Empress of Duskbreak

B I O G R A P H Y

Kikihia, though originally an outsider to the clan, has been widely revered as the clan's empress for some time now, even despite the arrival of the guardian deity and founder of Duskbreak. With many other responsibilities of her own to tend to, B gladly allows Kikihia to remain as a primary leader of the clan, as well as her mate. While she is a kind and gentle soul at heart, Kikihia has a demeanor that commands respect and compliance- and for good reason too.

Kikihia grew up in the shattered domain of the Earthshaker, cast out from her home clan for being too weak. While Dragonhome is not the most hostile of environments in Sornieth to survive in, it is a desolate land with few resources, and she often had to fight for them. She struggled to survive at first, many of her initial battles resulting in failure- and subsequently, hunger. As time went on, however, she developed a great prowess for combat, surviving the wilds with ease until she made the decision to return home in order to prove her worthiness within her old clan.

When she returned, however, her world was shattered. Her home was now nothing more than a desolate wasteland, abandoned by its residents. The ruined homes held no life within them, and no matter how hard she searched, there was no sign as to where they may have gone. With a heavy heart and nowhere to return to, she began her search for a new home.

B I O G R A P H Y

It was during this search that she stumbled upon the Duskbreak Clan. They were without a leader at the time, struggling to survive and their numbers dwindling rapidly. Something within her told her that this was what she was meant to do- to save this clan from the fate her own had faced. She shared with them the knowledge she had earned during her time alone, teaching them the skills they needed in order to survive while they were without the guidance of a leader- and it was only a matter of time before the members of Duskbreak began to see her as that leader.

"Cicada Empress"- that was what the clan members had begun to call her. It was because of her appearance that she earned the former portion of the title, but the latter was earned because of her guidance. The clan asked her to stay, to continue to lead them, and she did not hesitate to agree. After all, a new home was what she had set out to find in the first place, and she had found one that needed her. She took up the role of empress, and led the clan back into prosperity.

Not long after she entered into this new role, she met another well-respected outsider, Akinyemi. Akinyemi, though originally from a flight under the Windsinger, had been a member of the clan for many, many years, and had been the sole reason the clan had survived until Kikihia arrived. He was not as adept at survival skills, but he was a skilled warrior that defended the clan well. Naturally, she took interest in him, and with unanimous agreement from the rest of the clan, he too was chosen to lead them, becoming the Emperor of Duskbreak. Together, the two of them continue to lead and protect Duskbreak to this day.
