A formidable force on the battlefield in his youth, a wound to one of his hindlegs put him out of commission. After years of floundering to find a new calling, Cadwalader found his new purpose in smithing. Now he serves Clan Ogygia as their chief smithy, their "Lord of the Forge." His hindleg bothers him little save for the occasional dull aching and the limp it has lent his gait. Many consider the grizzled Guardian to be an honorary Clan Elder.

It's a mystery to many how the crass old fellow landed someone as delicate and sweet natured as Maren, but the two are as in love now as they were in their youth when they first met. To hear her tell it, he was quite something as a young warrior! How could she not have been smitten?

Garrus may not be the best smith's assistant but he's still a healthy share of good fun. Cadwalader excuses the Psywurm's clumsy abilities in the forge for the pleasant companionship - a bargain he believes to be more than worth it, and easily struck.
