You stare into the Void. And the Void stares back.
Warm creamy eyes blink slowly, lazily at you, unnerving you and sending chills scuttling down your spine. You've now been staring for a few minutes to the point it's getting awkward. You begin to fidget, wondering if you'll ever break eye contact.
Then you realize those eyes look strangely blank, as if thoughts have been wandering through the owner's mind for many minutes now.
A sneeze breaks the trance, and you realize with simultaneous relief and surprise that the creature you've been staring at for the past 5 minutes didn't even realize you were standing there, staring at them.
The darkness recedes a little, and a chubby chocolate Coatl child wanders out of the shadows.
"Hrm?" the Coatl makes a small squeaking sound, flicking out her tongue as she regards the visitor, her head tilted, neck craning to properly see who was staring so shamelessly at her.
