-Francisca Sparkscale, Chief Weapons Engineer of the Stormcatcher’s army. She has preferred the name Frank since she was young.
-Her arms are covered in burn scars. Overheating is a constant concern in the development of energy weapons. She has since had augments implanted in her skin to shield her from further heat trauma. They glow bright blue when they absorb heat.
-She worked alongside Lady Pancor once. Frank’s invitation to serve as Lightning ambassador came from her. The two of them grew very close in the years following Minerva’s death.
-Her workshop is filled with half-finished prototypes and messy schematics. It’s a beautiful, technologically-advanced deathtrap, closely guarded by an elaborate copper statue with streaks of patina along its front limbs.
-The energy weapons used by army of the Stormcatcher are fraught with flaws that could be cleverly exploited, should a war break out between Lightning and Plague. Not a soul would ever suspect the finest weapons engineer in the Shifting Expanse of treason, but suspicion and truth are almost never equal.
