Biography

Lucita is the daughter of Fiona, the daughter of Hedwig, the daughter of Luna, the daughter of Galadriel, the daughter of Borealis, the daughter of Rosetta, the daughter of Amelia, the daughter of Sophie. (#34939)
Her father, Ebonwing, is the son of Emior, the son of Straw, the son of Sirius, the son of Zikel, the son of Kerbenick. (#89105)

Like Cherenkov, she arrived from the Driftwood Drag, but unlike Cherenkov, she didn't detour through the Viridian Labyrinth first. She was the last of the "first wave" of hatchlings to grow up, and sometimes she still feels like a baby, even though she's been with the Solar Solar through several glorious dominance battles and seen scores of the Founders' nests be laid, hatch, grow up, and depart.

She and Luminiferous are close friends; both have bat familiars, both want circuit patterns as a tertiary gene, and both have wanted to become Nocturnes since the first Night of the Nocturne. Midway through the second Night, Lucita's wish was fulfilled; fortunately, Luminiferous's wish was fulfilled two days later!

Just after the first Trickmurk Circus since her Nocturnification, Lucita adopted a tesselated pattern for her wings; she and Luminiferous had a nest together to celebrate, in hopes that the pattern would breed true. It did, indeed, and they had three eggs: Albus, Corallia, and Mazenta. Albus flew off almost immediately for a lair in the Wispwillow Grove, Mazenta flew off only a few hours later for the Wandering Contagion, and shortly before dawn the next day Corallia departed for a different clan in the Wispwillow Grove. By the time of the Brightshine Jubilee, Albus was still within the Wispwillow Grove, but Corallia had gone to the Plaguebringer's service, and Mazenta had gone to the Flamecaller's service for Mather's Day.

Just before the next Crystalline Gala, Lucita and Luminiferous had another nest; this one had only one hatchling, whom they named Corallita. Albus was, at this point, still in the clan he had joined, though they had moved to the Foxfire Bramble; he had had thirteen hatchlings, three times as many as his parents.

Just after the Trickmurk Circus after that, Lucita and Luminiferous obtained (through some mysterious means) two Circuit scrolls - one for each of them. They read them within seconds of each other, and delighted in their new appearance so much that they immediately had a nest, in hopes that their hatchlings would be equally beautiful. Neither Veritas nor Aequitas were as charming as their elder siblings, but Lucita and Luminiferous cherished them highly. Aequitas winged her way to another Light clan. Veritas glued himself to the Solar Solar's other Nocturne, Triskaidekaphile, in hopes of learning her combat tricks; they had a nest together, and Veritas and Triskaidekaphile trained them together before Veritas and two of their three children went to the Lightweaver's service the week before the Brightshine Jubilee.

After Light secured dominance for the Lightweaver for three weeks in a row, Lucita adopted different patterns for herself again - this time rosettes for both her primary and secondary gene. The lingering magic of the gene change scroll caused her nest with Luminiferous to hatch instantaneously: two female hatchlings, both with Watermelon as their tertiary color!

Just before their fourth Night of the Nocturne, they had had eleven hatchlings in total together, three of whom remained with clans rather than having left for a deity's service: Aequitas, who by that time lived with a clan of the Wandering Contagion, while the two Watermelon-tertiary sisters, Rousettus and Linduensis, lived with a clan of the Leviathan Trench and the Focal Point, respectively. Albus, their first-hatched, had had many hatchlings while in the Tangled Wood; Astrea, the second of them, developed glowing eyes during the flare of magic that altered every nest on Sornieth.

The first morning of that fourth Night, their seventh nest hatched: Celarem ("I should have been concealing [something]") and Potabo ("I will drink"). Celarem left immediately, but didn't go far, just to another clan of the Mirrorlight Promenade; Potabo sought out the service of the Stormcatcher.

During their ninth Night of the Nocturne, Luminiferous's iridescence was transformed into fern-like patterns. Naturally he and Lucita immediately had a nest. This resulted in three eggs.
