B I O G R A P H Y

Main Theme: Unsteady by the X Ambassadors

______ Freedom, named for his free spirit when young, has grown to be bitter. Bitter at the council for the pressure she felt to take the trials, at the Plaguebringer for deeming his brother Joy 'unworthy' and at the virulent dawn for not trying hard enough to save Nike. He distantly keeps contact with the remaining family he has, blaming them slightly for all of this, and blaming himself more.

______ "Freedom, you don't need to leave, you know."

"And stay with the group that did nothing but sit by while mom died? No, I refuse to stay here."

The 'stay with you' went unsaid. And Star's expression shifted to something pained, not that Freedom cared about that. As far as he was concerned, his family held some of the blame for everything. Had they stayed, maybe his mother wouldn't have become weak with grief. And Star knew how he felt.

"Ms. Blessing tri-"

"Don't. Just don't Star. I'm gone, and there's nothing to say that could stop this. Now get out. I'm done talking."

Freedom snapped and turned away from his eldest brother, forcing himself not to cry as he heard Star leave. Only once the door was closed and locked, did he let himself cry. Silently he wailed for his mother in his heart, but no answer came.
