Tilentia is one hatchling out of a nest of four. Their parents are largely absent: Requiem doesn't seem to recognize them at all, haunted instead by his constant paranoia. He rarely speaks, to them or to the rest of the clan. By contrast, Memento is often distraught, weeping or isolating herself in turns. That said, the rest of the clan is happy to tend to them, so they do not grow up wanting.

Compared to her Obelisk brothers, Tilentia doesn't experience the dread or the calling as acutely. She knows that she has to be prepared, but feels that she can take her time getting ready for whatever is coming. She studies under Meilyr in particular, feeling more at home with the older coatl's talk of prophecies than the rest of the clan's decidedly relaxed attitude. It's not until she gets a prophecy of her own that she knows she needs to leave.
