 Rene and her partner, Romulus, both intensely betray the typical Bogsneak isolationism. Rene and Romulus are the mostly tightly bonded couple in the clan, and they both enjoy the presence of the rest of the clan members. Rene and Romulus both are happy to care for hatchlings, assist other dragons with tasks, or simply spend amicable social time with individuals or groups. Rene is nurturing and cheery, making her a popular member of the clan and a welcome presence for new, apprehensive dragons. Though Rene enjoys social time with others, she is perfectly content to be only in her own company. Magic is her passion; in particular, divination and illusions, so she spends most of her alone time working on her magic. Romulus is much less inclined towards magic, though he is interested in watching Rene work and learn about her talents. Rene is also happy to collaborate with and teach other dragons; frequently, Mallo and her will collaborate or simply work in each others’ company, since their respective magical talents are different but often complement each other. While Margueritte may be the clan matriarch with the power she holds, Rene is the true mother figure to the clan members. Despite occasional prodding, she will not state her feelings on Margueritte and her cold authority. The most she will say is that the Scavs are lucky to be protected and safe. Any further questioning is usually met with gentle but clear indications that she will not continue the conversation; “I don’t have anything to say about that” is a common response to nosey young dragons. Despite both being prevalent figures in the clan, Rene and Margueritte seem to barely interact. Clanmates never witness Rene having conversations or spending time with Margueritte like she does with the other dragons, and it is noticeable to many that Rene does not contribute items for Margueritte’s magic despite bring familiar with and often in possession of many magical items.
