Cow is a very quiet dragon. He is a great listener, willing to listen as his clanmates talking for hours. Despite his quiet nature, he teaches the hatchlings how to speak, as well as teaching them the basics of each subject. Once a hatchling is old enough to find their place in the world, they always go to him for advice, and he listens offering up apprenticeships within the clan or writing to his friends to guide them in a different flight.

His kindness and great listening skills lend him to be the favorite dragon of the youngest hatchlings of the clan, even over their parents. Whenever they get into a fight with Lentil, they are sure going to Cow for advice, and he gently guides them onto the right path.
They especially love him for his soft fur, often sleeping on him during the noon when he buries into his small burrow to escape the heat. Once his lessons are over, he will tell the hatchlings stories before their nap, lulling them to sleep with stories of the clan member's history or his personal adventures. A big stage in a young hatchling stages of growing up is realizing that Cow probaly hasn't actually had adventures all over Sornieth with hundreds of connections in each flight. An even bigger stage is realizing it's all true
