AMAZONITE WITH WHITE STREAKS

Nelshinn was an Obelisk who awoke far earlier then all the others, not in Dragonhome, but in the darkened lands of the Tangled Wood, buried beneath layers of thick goop. When he finally clawed his way to freedom, he found himself swimming in the centre of a murky pool filed with gunk, so polluted one couldn't see the bottom. Shivering at the sticky sensation, he left the pools grasp and vowed to never be trapped like that again.

It is most likely this reason that influenced him towards the dragons of the wind flight. In the Windswept Plateau you had the power to fly wherever you wanted, whenever you wanted! You could shoot yourself across the entire continent if you felt like it! Nelshinn especially adored flying on bright nights, when the moon is at its fullest, or, when he's away from any civilization, the stars are out, the entire cosmos bare for all to see.

One day, when he entered the Windswept Plateau and, after getting turned around by the sudden halting of winds as the Twisting Crescendo ceased to spin, he wound up in an old cave carved into the side of a cliff face. Within this cave he found a massive statue of the Windsinger displayed there. It was an imposing figure, however due to his tumble in the sky Nelshinn was too tired to care. Deciding to rest there for the night, Nelshinn laid down beneath the massive statue and fell into a deep sleep.

What he did not know, however, was that within this statue rested a certain type of wild, untameable magic, a type of wind magics that had not been softened by time and had been locked within the statue during the ages of old when the gods raged against each other. This magic had a vague sort of sentience, and it wanted to be free, to fly far and wide and be used, unbound by this immovable body so opposite to it's very nature. So, when it saw it's chance within the young Obelisk, it took it.

And so it was that Nelshinn awoke again, startled but thrilled at the new power that coursed through him, and while all the other dragons panicked about the halting winds and struggled to take off, Nelshinn took to the sky, wild and gleeful and singing his songs to all willing to hear.

Nelshinn's meeting of his other two companions was... sort of by chance, sort of on purpose. Of course he had heard the rumours about them, the duo were a popular folk tale in all of Sornieth. Hell, even he knew about them, and he couldn't even get too close to any settlement without invoking a panic. (The narrative surrounding his creation would change once the rest of the Obelisk's enter Sornieth properly, however at the time he was seen as a mystery and threat). He didn't go looking for them purposefully, but when he felt the faint glow of power like his own, he was naturally curious. So, he went to them.

When he found the duo they were travelling through the Scarred Wasteland. His arrival was heralded by the whistling wind and songs that he brought. From the Guardian he was only spared a glance before she continued, but the Nocturne gave him a long, searching look before following her companion. They travelled (well, the duo of females travelled, Nelshinn followed) like this for months until the Nocturne finally caved and asked him his name.

"I'm Nelshinn!" He introduced himself.

"My name is Wisp." The Nocturne said in turn before gesturing to the large Guardian who was watching the exchange silently. "That's Andromeda. You ready to get back on the road?"

Nelshinn grinned. "I was born ready."
