Fable

Fable was born with a nomad's heart in a small ice fishing village off the Snowsquall Tundra. She's an explorer, an adventurer, and while she's never ventured past the Southern Icefield, there are few places here she hasn't seen. With her trusty lantern, she's spent her whole life exploring one cave after another. She's visited every prison in the Icefield, walked the Stockades to peek at the artifacts, and gotten herself into (and out of) more trouble than most dragons ever care to find themselves in.

It was on her travels with the Hearthshine caravanners through Reclaimer's Glacier, south of the crags, that her life would change forever. Sitting by the fire, her lantern at her side, a skydancer appeared out of the darkness. Gaunt, terrified, pleading. When the skydancer pressed a bundle of hides into her paws--with a squirming hatchling inside!--Fable tried to refuse...but there was a desperation and mourning in the mother's eyes that told Fable she had no choice. She'd never forget the mother's pleading words as she left her hatchling behind.

And Fable would hold to her promise, she would raise this one like her own. Lunnox. She knew nothing of where the little one came from beyond that night, but she loved that girl as if she'd hatched her from her own egg. One thing she was sure of, right from the moment she held her, was that Lune was special. Different somehow.

And so, the caravan settled down. In the middle of a glacier, under the colorful lights of the Southern frost-filed sky...they created a small village. At it's heart, the Heartshine Inn was forged. The village has grown now, and Lunnox has turned their small cozy place in the glacier into a kingdom, but at it's heart, Fable still runs the Inn. Her adventures now come from the stories told through those who stay here, while they rest in front of the fire.
