LORE NOTES
-Was often shunned for being a dull-colored coatl. Got good at fighting. A real terror in their youth.
-Joined the clan back in its party house days. After the party house was destroyed in a bad winter storm, Ari took up hunting in order to provide for their clan.
-Stumbled upon some illicit activity in the Starwood Strand and was killed for witnessing it. Altar found them just in time to stuff their soul back into their (now undead) body.
-[WIP] One night they had a vivid dream and woke up fully alive and healed, as though they had never died in the first place. Believing this to be divine intervention, they became an exalt trainer in order to repay the favor.
-The clanmates that they're closest to just call them Riri.
Mistral Meals 2024: Monday
Arrivederci stares down at their ingredients. They were no stranger to eating whatever foods they could rustle up in the Mire- any exalt trainer worth their salt could do the same- but turning these items into a full meal would be a whole other challenge.
Luckily, Ari's mind is as nimble as their feet, and they waste no time preparing their dish: a simple yet fulfilling array of empanadas. The dough comes first; they decide to crumble the Longneck winter rations into the pastry, kneading well to incorporate the grains. Once it's time to cool the dough, they chop some garlic, onions, potatoes, and carrots. These sauté in one big batch along with some raisins, followed by the hummingbird, honeybees, and fish in their own separate pans.
The dough finishes cooling just in time for Ari to fill each piece. They mix the sautéed vegetables with one of the three given meats, spoon the mixture into a circle of dough, and crimp the sides thoroughly. A quick egg wash ensures that they bake to a golden brown color, then into the oven they go. Surely these would satisfy all of the judges.
