Sakura fanned out his fins and dipped his head. "Thank you for allowing me to live in your clan." Dusk nodded. "Of course, I'm grateful that you took me up on the offer. I look forward to seeing your work, Director Sakura." That would take some time to get used to. While it wasn't unwelcome, Sakura did not anticipate that he would be nominated to the title of Director for the future Fire Lily Laboratory. He left Dusk's office with the Fae named Eleanor in tow. Eleanor's fans fluttered. "Oh I am so glad that you were willing to take the lead on this. I don't think my heart could handle the stress of being the head of an entire laboratory." Sakura's fans stood tall and stiff. His eyes focused ahead on the ruins of the building that he acquired the necessary construction permits. It was a large building, ideal for his future organization's purposes. Sakura asked in a monotone drone, "You agree that this endeavor will be beneficial." Eleanor's fans stopped fluttering and she nodded to the positive. "Yes. I believe so at any rate. So much more can be accomplished by an organization, that much was proven by that vile President hunting myself and my kin. Well and I believe my arms will thank you for giving me a place to safely store away some of my notes." Sakura surveyed the dilapidated buildings and surrounding landscape that belonged to Clan Burning Fantasies. He could see the tumultuous flow of magic that performed a chaotic dance like spaghetti noodles in boiling water. "It's a miracle that this land hasn't been completely torn asunder. I have my work cut out for me." Eleanor rattled her fans in a display of merriment. "I can't disagree with that. Fortunately for you, the task is not only on your shoulders. I believe many of the others will jump at the chance of having a job to do." Sakura stopped before the large ruin that he wanted to turn into the future headquarters of Fire Lily Laboratory. He looked up at the towering structure then slowly looked down toward the foundation. His tail swept side to side as he focused on the flow of magic again. Eleanor droned, "Will that be all?" Sakura nodded. "Yes, thank you Eleanor. I know you're eager to get back to your own studies." Eleanor fluttered her fans in farewell before taking her leave. Sakura rubbed his forepaws together. Background Sakura was invited to Clan Burning Fantasies by their leader, Dusk. Intrigued by the request, Sakura arrived at the clan and was immediately struck by how rough the clan's home looked. With so many Temporal Rifters coming in and out of the dimension, the ley lines of magic were a complete mess. Sakura, as an Arcane Scientist, was interested in how the landscape seemed to resist fracturing from the temporal forces. However he was also aware of how fragile that resistance truly was. Determined to study this phenomena, Sakura asked Dusk if Burning Fantasies possessed a laboratory. When Dusk answered to the negative, Sakura knew what he needed to do. He would establish a laboratory in Clan Burning Fantasies. With the help of Eleanor, one of the Temporal Rifter descendants, Fire Lily Laboratory was built out of one of the larger ruins in the clan settlement. As the Director of Fire Lily Laboratory, Sakura studies and stabilizes the dimensional veil in order to protect the material plane. With so many temporal rifters residing in Clan Burning Fantasies, Sakura also uses his organization to shield his clan mates from those that would do them harm. To that end, Fire Lily Laboratory employs an incredible number of Clan Burning Fantasies' members. There is a large number of jobs available in a variety of disciplines. With the primary focus being scientific endeavors, Fire Lily Laboratory houses a grand archive for the clan to access as a resource. Director Sakura is a taciturn Fae on most occasions, although he certainly won't say no to an evening meal at the Diamond Inn. While he can trace his lineage to one of Clan Burning Fantasies' allies, the Clan Sanguinem Luna, he has not made any overtures to reconnect with his distant kin. He prefers to focus on the problems that his new home clan faces. He will participate in Clan Burning Fantasies' government as an advisor to Dusk. On a personal note, Director Sakura is grateful to Dusk for allowing him to join Clan Burning Fantasies. He looks forward to building a fulfilling career. 
Balance the Enchanted Libra Balance is Sakura's familiar. A loyal creature, Balance will assist Sakura in his studies often by carrying instruments on his balance plates. Sometimes Sakura will also use Balance as a messenger if he needs to make sure a letter arrives at its destination. Sakura found Balance when he studied abroad in the depths of the Starwood Strand. He attempted a summoning spell that brought Balance out of the spiritual plane. Once summoned, Balance offered Sakura a contract which outlined Balance's duties as a familiar. In need of an assistant, the contract was ideal and Sakura readily signed it. Now the pair are inseparable.  Customization Goals |
