Jessi

Jessi loves to read. In fact, that's how she ended up with the clan.

Havoc was in the marketplace, buying supplies, and when she started home down the winding trails in front of a caravan of laden beastfolk, she found a distracted Wildclaw following her, the soft white nose buried in a book. She politely cleared her throat to get the dragon's attention, but she didn't get a response. Finally, she gave a shrill yap which startled the young Wildclaw and brought her unfocused gaze to Havoc's furry form.

"You's lost?" she asked the tall young dragon, who immediately looked around herself and, with growing realization, gave a small squeak.

"Yes, I fear I am," she answered in a quavering voice.

Havoc shrugged and said, "Well come on, den," as she motioned for the group of burdened beastfolk to resume following her. "Let's get yous home."

Today, Jessi hoards books, which has made her the unofficial librarian of the clan. They are stacked in orderly fashion around the back wall of her cave in the new clan lands. Branches has promised to make shelves for her as soon as the entire clan is properly housed, but for now she's got them lovingly stored in an old cavern that Jessi has tried to make look more inviting with random items she has scavenged from around the mysterious island.

When Jessi found the bookworm as it slowly fled the bright island light by inching into the long tunnel leading into the clan housing, she immediately fell in love with its bright colors. When it gleefully ate the first book, she tried to be angry with it. She really did! But it was just so cute that she couldn't stay angry. Keved, on the other hand, has never forgiven the beastie for consuming his most recent notes about the origin of their floating lands.
