Born in the Devouring Pyre, Cyrus is just as passionate and fiery as many dragons from that region are. Though his mood seems to fluctuate often with no explanation, he portrays himself as laid-back and observant, though has no trouble getting up to mischief and being playful, especially with the right crowd. He enjoys being the center of attention and the leader of the group, but he knows doing so can create conflict, so he tries not to take up the spotlight (even if he has a tendency to do it by accident). His love for attention has gotten him into sticky situations, but he utilizes his powerful plague magic and skills in stealth to get himself out of trouble. Despite the exterior of mischief and cockiness that Cyrus tends to put up, he's quite empathetic and shows much compassion for those who manage to get close enough to him.

Cyrus eventually grew tired of the Devouring Pyre, and decided to explore the entirety of the realm with no real goal other than to explore. At first, he was content just being a trickster, taking items from the rich or messing with other dragons, however the moment Cyrus heard of the downfall of the previous Wardens, he immediately had the thought of joining them, but doubted his own strength. He shoved the thought in the back of his mind until he eventually met Lazarus, who got caught up with some troublesome mirror dragons that stole his belongings. Cyrus offered help and was able to retrieve the items for Lazarus, but then began pestering him about payment, which he never expected to receive, having the sole goal of annoying the imperial. He ended up following Lazarus back to his friends and decided to stick around. They later mentioned that he should try becoming a Warden, and eventually he did so.
