When the dragon was young she became attached to a familiar, a crowned bone priest, and although the other dragons of her clan were disgusted and told her to leave it, she never did. Eventually the bug familar was pried out of her hands and taken away from her.

The young dragon fled desperately from her clan and has been wandering ever since, like her former friend collected bones, she became a collector herself. Finding their wares among broke down carriages or in bargain bins at markets. She was a scavenger, and quite good at it too. That’s where she developed her nickname. Her own exterior was built up to intimidate and to intrigue. While wandering the road they practiced their slight of hand and dodge ability to make sure they couldn’t be caught in riskier scavenges. They quickly became expert at haggling weather selling or buying items.


Contraband is cunning and smart, she knows when to cut and run when a deal is going sour, and since she practices her dodging skills she's never, ever caught. She isn't a crook though, she does everything above the board, despite the rumors spread to discredit her. Most people ignore the rumors since she's so genuine. She's very interesting, having all sorts of items with her at all times, and having all sorts of stories to tell as well. She plays it up, making sure that people are interested and wanting to know more, that way they come back to her time and again. Inside, she's lonely and just wants a good friend, but being a scavenger means working alone most of the time.
