|| Background
Bones was hatched in a clan on the edge of the Murkbarrow Close, near to the border with Earth and mostly hidden away in the thick bramble wall that surrounds the Tangled Wood. She was followed shortly by her younger sister, who remained close to Bones throughout their childhood and adolescence. With Bones showing an aptitude for magic and eager for a bright future in the retinue of the Shadowbinder, she was certain that her sister would follow her.

But she didn't. One night, Bones' sister fled, leaving only a note saying that she had left for the Sunbeam Ruins and that she was sorry she hadn't been able to stay. Feeling deeply betrayed, Bones fell into a heavy sadness, one that refused to break. No matter what she did, she was endlessly melancholy, abandoning her Shadow magics and retreating further into isolation— and it was in that isolation that she found a new purpose.

Bones stumbled across necromancy by accident, encountering a small travelling clan who hosted a necromancer of their own during one of her attempts to disappear into the Foxfire Bramble. Almost immediately, she felt a spark, the first she had felt in a very long time. The necromancer was very old, and not very powerful, but clinging to this new light in her life, Bones begged him to teach her, and he agreed. For several years, Bones joined the travelling clan, working herself to the quick with very little in return just for a few lessons on necromancy.

Eventually, however, her master died, whilst the clan was staying in the Starfall Isles. Disjointed again, Bones said her goodbyes, and departed to pursue her craft elsewhere— and, through luck, managed to encounter Apotelesmatis, her enthusiasm returned in full force as she pledged her loyalty to Tiarnan, always pursuing that spark.

Out of all of the acolytes, Bones stands out as an energetic, bright figure, even more outgoing than Solvaring in her excitement to be a necromancer. Her hunger for knowledge is seemingly endless, and she spends many a late night pouring over whatever knowledge she can get her claws on, practicing until she passes out.

She is not very good at what she does, but somehow, that doesn't dissuade her. Bones celebrates any miniscule sign of improvement, and perseveres to the point of inanity, her mind completely set on this path. After all, it's all she has keeping her from that darkness again.

◈ Unbeknownst to Bones, her younger sister was one of the casualties sustained when Luminax emerged in the Sunbeam Ruins.
◈ Bones bonded with Dusk during her travels with her first master, and she cares for the umbra wolf ardently. He is very loyal to her, and can usually be found following her around.
◈ Bones is the youngest of all of the acolytes, in her early twenties.
◈ Though the acolytes are permitted very little personal space, Bones fills her small slice of their shared den with various collectables, including a plush Shadowbinder from her hatchling days. She also enjoys collecting small statues, carvings, and toys.
◈ The crystal that Bones carries with her was a gift from her friend Magnolia, who also taught her the magic needed to keep it levitating. Hers manifests much differently from his, however.
