The Forgeborne have been slowly populating Sornieth, seemingly having appeared out of nowhere. They are incredibly life-like, near perfect metallic replicas of their corporeal counterparts. The Forgeborne are seemingly automatons, crafted and then imbued with fire magic to bring their machinery to life. No one knows who has been creating the automatons, but there are theories. Some believe Forgemother Zoralth has been creating them, others think that the Flamecaller herself has been sending them out into the world.

The Forgeborne are peculiar. When they first started appearing, they lacked the ability to speak, but now it seems that they have developed a way to talk by vibrating specific metal parts in their throats. This is slightly offputting, as many still forget to move their mouths when doing so, resulting in a confusing audible voice with no visual source.

Inside of each Forgeborne can either be heard the metallic whirring of their movement mechanisms or the faint crackling of a heat engine.
