Truth be told, Raiden has three interests in life: money, freedom, and ladies. He's a powerful spellsword, truly gifted in both his explosive lightning magic and with dual-wielded swords. But he's also brash, and a hard-headed show-off.

Alongside his sister Korax, Raiden came to the Miasmic Kingdom in search of their shared bounties of interest: wealth and women. Joining the royal guard was purely by accident, but they stayed on principle after fighting so hard against the Bludval kingdom prior to the treaty's signing.

Raiden is still prone to showing off, but he's a bit more careful after sustaining a dangerous injury that left him severely scarred in the face. That doesn't mean he'll ever truly settle down, but Korax has encouraged him to take things a bit slower. Raiden has struggled to adjust, and battles frequent bouts of depression in response to the disfiguration of the left side of his face.

Raiden's ego took a deep blow when the scarring set in on his face. There are time he genuinely believes himself unable to be loved for it.

Though he is a powerful fighter and mage, Raiden fumbles terribly on a lot of social fronts; his grasp of social cues is mediocre at best and he's a chronic flirt.

Despite nearly a dozen short-term relationships and a tendency to flirt with nearly every woman he meets, Raiden does believe in soulmates and sincerely hopes to find his someday. He believes he may have, but keeps that to himself.
