B I O G R A P H Y

Gemina keeps birds and tends to any wild injured birds she can find. She studies their diets and flight styles and tries to apply it to techniques that other dragons might be able to use. Born as the sole egg to a water nest she hatched to find both of her parents missing. She quickly became lost in the currents and washed up in Wind Flight territory. She was soon found by Madarino and Fairlain as they walked the beach for shells and washed up trinkets. She was brought back to the lair and raised alongside the hatchlings currently there. She had a great interest in the skilled fliers of her new flight and spent all of her time watching them as they soared, rolled, and dove through the air. She believes that birds are the ultimate fliers and has many diagrams, sketches, and instructional guides on how to apply their techniques for different body types. Most of these guides were discovered through trial and error of her clanmates, but she does not struggle to find fliers willing to take on the challenge with her two most frequent volunteers being EathSea and PumpkinCat, the two most skilled fliers in the lair.
Though she began life as a petite Fae she was never as strong of a flier as many of her nest mates and struggled with her light frame in the stronger winds. It was these stronger winds that knocked her from the sky and straight into a bubbling concoction. She scream and clawed at the edges and was quickly pulled to safety by the alchemist Baldwin. Her nest mates EarthSea and PumpkinCat arrived in a great gust of wings that buffeted her nearly out of Baldwin's arms. They worriedly looked her over gently moving claws over her tender body and arrived at the conclusion that she was quite burned from the hot mixture. They spoke quickly amongst themselves paying Baldwin no mind as he tried to tell them something. Gemina was quickly towed back to her room where Bezoar met them as EarthSea had used her magic to express great distress to the other resident Skydancers. She spent a rough night of discomfort and distress as her body changed and grew unexpectedly. When she awoke she no longer fit in her bed and many of her things were just...too small for her. She was a Bogsneak.
Bezoar, PumpkinCat, and EarthSea did what they could to make sure that Maple was able to get to work on changing her room and her two friends offered her to stay with them while the changes were being made. Interestingly, her main concern was her flying, and once she got the all clear from Bezoar she, along with a good third of the flight took to the air for her to try her new wings. It took her some time to adjust to being so much heavier and to learn how to better glide when it had been effortless before, but she quickly grew more confident and was able to succeed in some maneuvers that her huge wings and light frame did not allow before. Though she did not plan it, she is happy with her new form and especially pleased that it allows her to better care for her avian friends without needing to make tons of trips back and forth to keep them fed.
Gemina is a high-spirited, excitable flier that specializes in improving the quality of flight for all dragons. She does this by studying wing shapes, flight patterns, and body types of birds, dragons, and harpies when she is able to and hosts regular seminars for adults and hatchlings to attend complete with demonstrations and workshop portions to help them apply what she has said to their own flight. Even though she has always been curious about what happened to her birth parents and the clan she came from she wouldn't trade her clan for anything.
